Digital Radiography Course (RADDIG)

The general purpose of this course is to develop the knowledge, skills of our course candidates in regards to the theory of radiation safety when using the latest equipment for digital radiography. The Canadian Police College explosives training unit now uses the Scan-x
system which is the latest update in digital imaging.

This course is a two day course which consists of a full day of theory and practice on radiation safety, and a second day of practice with the equipment followed by a written and practical exam.

The course candidates are qualified for a period of three years with a photo I.D. card which qualifies them under the C.G.S.B. standards to perform as level one digital radiography operators.

After this three year period the candidates will be required to write a skills test to see if they have kept up with their training to renew their permits.

This course is offered to all Police and Security personnel.
